Davis Knight

DAVIS KNIGHT

Davis began working with The Palmer Knight Company in 2003, serving as the president since 2007. He is responsible for the leadership and direction of the company, as well as ensuring investment portfolio activities are being performed to the expectations of the clients. Davis also serves as the chief compliance officer for the firm.

He is a cum laude graduate of the Fisher School of Accounting at the University of Florida and spent the first 8 years of his professional career as a certified public accountant. Davis has worked in both the tax and audit sides of the business giving him a full range of experience. The final accounting position was as the Chief Financial Officer for Heart Alert, Inc., a healthcare service company in Atlanta. Being knowledgeable and experienced in business allows Davis to be highly analytical in the aspects of portfolio management. He and Elizabeth have a son and a daughter.

PALMER KNIGHT

As the founding principal for the firm in 1985, Palmer has spent 34 years building a money management firm specializing in growing wealth. He is most proud of the ability of the firm to help multi-generations of our client’s families. He is an integral part of the investment committee and serves the role of Chairman for the firm.

Palmer has successfully leveraged his more than 40 years as an investment strategist with entrepreneurial business savvy. Palmer's expertise lies in his ability to combine high-level market analysis and strategic thinking with a unique ability to synthesize and communicate information to clients as a part of an ongoing dedicated partnership. A graduate of Wofford College, he and Maria have five grown sons and nine grandchildren.

Stephen Horne

Stephen joined The Palmer Knight Company in 2018 as a Principal and member of the investment committee. Stephen is responsible for research and analysis of current investments and opportunities.

Prior to joining the firm, Stephen served as President of Drummond, Inc.’s Atlanta operation. Stephen managed the company’s manufacturing and distribution facilities in the region and worked directly with the company’s CEO on mergers and acquisitions. Stephen has an MBA with concentration in finance and operations from The College of William and Mary in Virginia where he graduated as a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Stephen also holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Florida. He and Taylor have a son and a daughter.
